This is a change of -4.27% from last month and -12.35% from one year ago. Our annual coffee price forecast has a bullish bias towards the end of 2020 and especially going into 2021. The leading indicators for the future price of coffee are bullish. More importantly as soon as the Brazilian Real turns bullish it will create an explosion in the price of coffee. Coffee growers raise two species of coffee bean: Arabica and robusta. The former is more expensive, selling for 2.93 U.S. dollars per kilogram in 2018 and projected to increase in price to 3.14 U.S. dollars in 2025. Coffee future prices reversed early gains and closed lower. The May arabica coffee contract settled down 2.30¢ at 112.05¢ per lb in dealings between 111.40 and 116.05¢. July was down 2.25¢ at 113.90¢.
